Here are some current views of my cupboards. Please, spare me the armageddon jokes. 

Yesterday my chiropractor/kinesiologist asked when canning season would be over. The question she was really asking was when my hands would get a break. But canning season doesn’t really end for me, it just transitions from putting up tomatoes and pickling everything in sight to making endless batches of pesto and applesauce, caponata and chutney. And from there it’s straight into fall pie season. Throughout all of this, of course, I’m sewing whenever there is some downtime and making sorbet and gelato. 

(As I write this there is a batch of tomato chutney simmering on my stove…)
