My mother gave me this beautiful glass pitcher (complete with stirring wand) for Hanukkah last night, letting me know it was for mixology. It was made by my friend Michael, a glassblower who lives and works two towns north of here. The turquoise dress I made back in July was for his beautiful little girl Mila.
This is sitting on the kitchen table, visible from my sewing spot in the next room. I’m staring at it, thinking about ginger syrup, whiskey & seltzer and how lovely a pitcher of that would be.
